I tried 7 apps after doing research on Google. The ones listed as the BEST were HORRIBLE. This app is the BEST one I have found. I LOVE IT. It does exactly what I need it to do which is read my favorite Bible study passages. No fuss, no frills and a pleasant voice. I really appreciate the makers of this app. I have been searching apps for days and was becoming disheartened and doubtful that I would ever find an app that was EASY and actually worked like the creators said it did. I'm so thankful for this app. I add articles to my list by sharing them from my browser and it's simple to play them as a playlist before bed. The "edit speech" option is great for modifying how the programmed voices pronounce words and phrases. I haven't explored all the features but it's super useful for my purposes. Purchased.

I use this app pretty much every day to read to me while I get menial things done. I use it while I'm driving to work, while I'm doing chores, while I'm working on the more tedious aspects of an art piece. I've paid for the upgraded version, but, honestly, I use the app so frequently that I would happily donate to the devs. I absolutely adore it. I also love that you can edit the way that it pronounces things, and you can toggle those changes in pronunciation on and off.

An innovative tool for those who are passionate about knowledge through reading, it allows to manage time, acquire knowledge (any language); you can read / listen at any time; what do you need to do?, Organize your time ... Select text, copy, paste, edit text, save and/or add to the library, it allows you to edit entire chapters and then listen it when you consider appropriate. Text tools are similar to computer functions or messaging on phones. Congratulations.

I Love this app so much. I tried others but no comparison! I only have a suggestion I hope you take into consideration. The option to choose what folder you want as "home". Edit: after a previous update it stops reading, app is still open and play button is not paused, I have to pause it and press play to keep going. Not using voices that require network connection. 2edit 11/21: doesn't stop randomly anymore. 5 stars!

Ok. Wrote a review about an issue I was having and not ten minutes later I managed to track the issue down 🤦🏾♀️ Turns out someone was an idiot and created too many speech settings and forgot to delete the useless ones. Gah. Anyway this is a great app if youre not an idiot like I am. I would give it six stars if I could.

I don't know what else to say. This is the best TTS app I could've ever asked for. Text is parsed perfectly nearly every time, it's easy to import text using the "share with" button in external apps, easy customization for the interface and the synthesizer. (Edit: removed complaint about subscript not reading properly, it works now)

Loved this app for the last couple years. Unfortunately about 3 months ago app randomly will just stop reading, close and reopen app and start from the beginning..... And i can't clear its "reading notification" from notifications. Sadly uninstalling overly frustrated.

I have twice as much energy and percieve twice as much information than most; also, 50% of the time, ADHD renders me as impulsive as child. A boon of mental acuity is just my upkeep cost. Being a discerning programmer and user of tools is how I avoid despair. This app is a beauty to me: leanness of accessibility, geometrically satisfying proportions, well annotated, and above every other TTS on GPlay, I truly value its pervasive functional niftiness and sincere suggestions all cleanly packaged.

Love the app, I use it all the time as an audio book while at work. Ads can be a little annoying with popping up every time I switch to the app but generally not bad.
